Senior Terraform Engineer – Infrastructure Setup

About the role

NovaForge Tech is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a Terraform Engineer to design, implement, and validate infrastructure‑as‑code controls that meet strict compliance standards while keeping deployment pipelines agile.

Key responsibilities

• Write reusable Terraform modules to enforce network segmentation, encryption, and IAM policies across AWS accounts.
• Integrate security scans and policy checks into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with security and development teams to translate audit findings into Terraform code.
• Document architecture decisions and create runbooks for incident response.
• Perform regular state management, drift detection, and version upgrades.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years of hands‑on Terraform experience in AWS environments.
• Deep understanding of cloud security best practices (IAM, KMS, VPC, WAF).
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).
• Experience automating compliance checks (Checkov, Sentinel, or OPA).

Nice to have

• Certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty.
• Familiarity with container orchestration security (EKS, ECS).
• Knowledge of secret management solutions (HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager).
