About the role

Orbit Labs is creating a data pipeline and analytics enablement platform for operations teams. We need a GraphQL API Developer to design, implement, and optimize the core API layer that powers real‑time dashboards and reporting tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design a GraphQL schema that abstracts complex data sources for analytics consumption
• Implement resolvers in NodeJS, integrating with existing REST endpoints and data warehouses
• Collaborate with front‑end engineers to ensure efficient data fetching patterns in React applications
• Set up performance monitoring, caching, and pagination strategies for high‑volume queries
• Write comprehensive tests and documentation for API contracts

Must-have skills

• Proven experience building production GraphQL APIs
• Strong JavaScript/NodeJS expertise
• Familiarity with REST API integration and data transformation
• Understanding of analytics pipelines and data modeling

Nice to have

• Experience with Apollo Server or similar GraphQL frameworks
• Knowledge of cloud data services (e.g., BigQuery, Redshift)
• Background in operations or monitoring tooling
