About the role

BrightMart Solutions is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and implement robust data pipelines for a high‑volume e‑commerce analytics platform. You will lead the end‑to‑end data flow, ensuring reliability and scalability as business needs evolve.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain ETL processes using Python and Airflow.
• Design data models in PostgreSQL and MySQL to support reporting and analytics.
• Implement data ingestion from various sources, including APIs and streaming services.
• Optimize query performance and ensure data quality through testing and monitoring.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to deliver clean, well‑documented datasets.

Must-have skills

• Advanced Python programming for data pipelines.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL and MySQL databases.
• Proficiency in AWS services such as S3, Redshift, and Lambda.
• Solid understanding of data modeling and ETL best practices.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Experience with streaming platforms like Kafka.
