Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to senior management to inform business decisions and drive growth.
• Develop and implement financial models and forecasts to predict future financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Manage and coordinate the annual budgeting process, ensuring that all departments are aligned and that financial targets are met.
• Collaborate with the senior management team to develop and implement strategic financial plans and initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and laws, including tax laws and accounting standards.
• Develop and maintain financial reports and dashboards to provide timely and accurate financial information to stakeholders.
• Manage and coordinate the financial close process, including the preparation of financial statements and the review of financial results.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks, including risks associated with financial markets, credit, and operational risks.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure effective financial management and control.
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure that financial statements are accurate and comply with accounting standards.
• Provide training and support to other team members on financial matters, including financial reporting and analysis.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, such as Finance or Business Administration.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a small business or entrepreneurial environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide insights and recommendations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior management, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks and Excel, and experience with financial modeling and forecasting tools.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• A certification in accounting, such as CPA or CMA, is an asset but not required.
• Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
• A strong understanding of financial regulations and laws, including tax laws and accounting standards.
