Key Responsibilities

  • Format documents according to company style guides and templates, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with editorial, design, and production teams to ensure that all documents meet client expectations and company standards.
  • Develop and maintain templates, style guides, and formatting protocols for various document types.
  • Perform quality checks on all documents to ensure that they are free of errors and meet company standards.
  • Provide support and training to junior team members on document formatting and style guides.
  • Develop and implement workflows and procedures to improve document formatting efficiency and productivity.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in document formatting and publishing.
  • Assist in the development of new document types and formats, such as e-books and online publications.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and freelancers to ensure that all documents meet company standards and expectations.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of new projects and initiatives.
  • Assist in the maintenance of company databases and records, ensuring that all documents are accurately tracked and stored.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, responding to queries and resolving issues in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Develop and maintain reports and analytics on document formatting trends, efficiency, and productivity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or a related field, with a focus on publishing, editing, or writing.
  • At least 2 years of experience in document formatting, publishing, or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign and Acrobat.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teams and clients.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Proficiency in data entry, with excellent typing skills and accuracy.
  • Experience with customer service, with a focus on providing exceptional support and resolving issues in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement workflows and procedures to improve document formatting efficiency and productivity.
  • Knowledge of publishing industry best practices, with a focus on formatting, style guides, and document production.
  • Certification in publishing, editing, or a related field, such as the Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) or the Certified Editor (CE).
