Position Overview

We're looking for a Senior Financial Consultant with 5-8 years of experience in business consulting, financial analysis, and strategic planning. This role will involve working directly with C-level executives and business owners to develop comprehensive financial strategies, conduct financial modeling, perform business valuations, and provide actionable insights for sustainable business growth. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial analysis, strategic planning, business development, and client relationship management.

This is a remote, fixed-price consulting engagement spanning 6-8 months, requiring 30-35 hours per week. You'll collaborate closely with our consulting team, clients, and stakeholders to deliver high-impact financial solutions that drive measurable business results.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Planning (35%)

• Develop comprehensive financial strategies and business growth plans for clients across various industries

• Conduct detailed financial analysis, forecasting, and scenario modeling to support strategic decision-making

• Create multi-year financial projections and budget frameworks aligned with business objectives

• Identify cost optimization opportunities and revenue enhancement strategies

• Prepare executive-level financial reports and strategic recommendations

Business Analysis & Valuation (25%)

• Perform comprehensive business valuations using DCF, comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions

• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic positioning

• Analyze business operations, financial performance, and growth metrics

• Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend process improvements

• Evaluate investment opportunities and M&A potential for clients

Client Consultation & Advisory (25%)

• Lead client meetings and presentations to communicate financial insights and recommendations

• Build trusted advisor relationships with C-suite executives and business owners

• Translate complex financial concepts into actionable business strategies

• Provide ongoing advisory support for strategic initiatives and major business decisions

• Facilitate strategic planning workshops and financial review sessions

Financial Modeling & Reporting (15%)

• Build sophisticated financial models for scenario analysis, investment evaluation, and strategic planning

• Develop customized financial dashboards and KPI tracking systems

• Create professional presentations and reports for client deliverables

• Maintain financial documentation and analysis frameworks

• Ensure accuracy and integrity of all financial analyses and recommendations

Must-Have Requirements

• 5-8 years of professional experience in financial consulting, corporate finance, or strategic advisory roles

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (MBA or CFA strongly preferred)

• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and financial analysis methodologies

• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel, financial modeling tools, and business intelligence platforms

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and corporate finance concepts

• Proven experience developing financial strategies and business plans for growing companies

• Excellent analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data and identify strategic insights

Project Details

During this 6-8 month engagement, you'll work with 8-12 client companies across various stages of growth, from early-stage startups to established businesses seeking expansion. Primary focus areas include:

• Developing 3-5 year strategic financial plans and growth roadmaps

• Creating comprehensive financial models for business planning and investment decisions

• Conducting business valuations for fundraising, M&A, or ownership transitions

• Optimizing capital structure and identifying financing opportunities

• Implementing financial reporting frameworks and KPI measurement systems

• Providing ongoing advisory support for strategic initiatives and major decisions
