About the role

AlphaEdge Tech is seeking a senior Penetration Tester to assess the security of a newly launched web application platform. The project focuses on identifying vulnerabilities, exploiting them responsibly, and delivering actionable remediation guidance within a tight timeframe.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive external and internal penetration tests using manual and automated techniques.
• Develop and execute custom exploit scripts to validate identified weaknesses.
• Document findings with detailed reports, including risk ratings and remediation steps.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to verify fixes and retest as needed.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of emerging threats and attack vectors.

Must-have skills

• 10+ years of hands‑on penetration testing experience.
• Proficiency in Linux environments and command‑line tools.
• Strong scripting abilities in Python for tool development and automation.
• Deep understanding of OWASP Top 10, network protocols, and web application security.
• Experience with reporting frameworks and clear communication of technical findings.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud service security assessments.
• Certifications such as OSCP, OSCE, or CISSP.
