Senior Microservices Architect Needed for Service Mesh Deployment Initiative

About the role

Summit Digital is launching a sprint to automate its CI/CD pipeline and platform provisioning. We need a Microservices Architect to design the integration layers, enforce standards, and accelerate release cycles across multiple services.

Key responsibilities

• Define microservice boundaries and communication contracts for CI/CD automation
• Design and implement Docker‑based build images and Kubernetes deployment manifests
• Create reusable Helm charts and GitOps workflows for rapid rollouts
• Collaborate with dev teams to embed automated testing and security scans
• Document architecture decisions and provide guidance on scaling patterns

Must-have skills

• Deep experience designing microservice ecosystems
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
• Strong Java background for service implementation
• Hands‑on CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar)

Nice to have

• Experience with service mesh technologies
• Knowledge of Terraform or Pulumi for infrastructure as code
• Familiarity with monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana)
