Senior GraphQL API Developer – Backend Scalability

About the role

NexGen Media is launching an integration project that ties together billing, CRM, and internal services. We need a GraphQL API Developer to design and implement a unified gateway that streamlines data flow across these systems while maintaining high performance and security.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and build a GraphQL layer that aggregates data from billing, CRM, and internal APIs
• Write resolvers in NodeJS and integrate with existing REST endpoints
• Collaborate with frontend teams to expose React-friendly queries and mutations
• Implement authentication, rate‑limiting, and error handling across all integrations
• Document schema, usage patterns, and deployment procedures

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with GraphQL schema design and server implementation
• Proficiency in NodeJS and building RESTful services
• Hands‑on knowledge of React data consumption patterns
• Understanding of API security, OAuth, and token management

Nice to have

• Familiarity with billing platforms such as Stripe or Chargebee
• Experience integrating major CRMs like Salesforce or HubSpot
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment
