About the role

Summit Digital is expanding a B2B SaaS product with a new multi‑tenant feature set. We need a Database Administrator who can design, implement, and fine‑tune the underlying data layer to support isolated tenant schemas while maintaining high performance and security.

Key responsibilities

• Architect multi‑tenant database structures for PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL.
• Implement automated provisioning and migration scripts for new tenants.
• Optimize queries, indexes, and partitioning to meet SLA response times.
• Set up monitoring, alerting, and routine health checks.
• Collaborate with dev and product teams to translate feature requirements into robust data models.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL in production.
• Deep understanding of multi‑tenant architecture patterns.
• Proficiency with schema versioning, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Strong SQL scripting and performance tuning abilities.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud‑native databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure Cosmos).
• Familiarity with containerized database deployments.
• Knowledge of data security compliance (GDPR, SOC2).
