About the role

Pinecrest Systems is launching a sprint to embed database workflows into a CI/CD pipeline, accelerating release cycles. We need a Database Administrator who can design, script, and automate schema migrations and data validation steps across environments.

Key responsibilities

• Build automated migration scripts for PostgreSQL, MySQL and MongoDB
• Integrate database health checks into Jenkins/GitHub Actions pipelines
• Develop rollback strategies and data seeding for test environments
• Collaborate with DevOps to containerize database services
• Monitor performance metrics and tune queries during CI runs

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL, MySQL and MongoDB in production
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python) for automation
• Understanding of schema versioning and data migration best practices

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform or Ansible for infrastructure provisioning
• Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of security compliance for database pipelines
