Senior AWS Cloud Engineer for End-to-End Cloud Infrastructure

About the role

Ridgeline Software is undertaking a performance and reliability overhaul of its customer‑facing services. We need an AWS Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and fine‑tune the cloud infrastructure that will support faster response times and higher availability.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing AWS architecture and identify bottlenecks
• Redesign VPC, subnet, and security group layouts for optimal traffic flow
• Implement auto‑scaling policies and load‑balancing strategies
• Introduce infrastructure‑as‑code using CloudFormation or Terraform
• Set up centralized logging and monitoring with CloudWatch and third‑party tools
• Collaborate with developers to containerize services and streamline CI/CD pipelines

Must-have skills

• Deep experience with core AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM)
• Proficiency in Docker containerization
• Strong DevOps mindset and automation expertise
• Solid Linux administration background

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation
• Knowledge of serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway)
• Familiarity with performance testing tools
