About the role

Pinecrest Systems is launching a greenfield SaaS platform called "Nimbus Hub" aimed at remote‑first teams. As a QA Automation Engineer you will design and implement the test framework that validates core user flows before the public beta. This short‑term contract focuses on building a robust, scalable automation suite for the initial product release.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement a Selenium‑based framework in JavaScript for end‑to‑end testing of Nimbus Hub.
• Create CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions that run automated regression suites on every pull request.
• Develop data‑driven API tests using Postman/Newman to verify backend services supporting the SaaS onboarding flow.
• Collaborate with developers to embed test hooks and ensure flaky tests are eliminated before each sprint milestone.
• Produce detailed test reports and dashboards in Grafana for stakeholder visibility.
• Mentor junior QA staff on best practices for test design and maintenance.

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver and JavaScript.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools, especially GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Solid understanding of API testing and JSON schema validation.
• Ability to write clear, maintainable test code and documentation.
• Experience with Agile Scrum delivery cycles.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with performance testing tools such as k6.
• Exposure to cloud testing environments (AWS, Azure).
