About the role

We are launching a data‑intensive analytics platform and need a PostgreSQL Administrator to ensure high‑performance, secure, and reliable database operations throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL clusters on cloud infrastructure
• Implement backup, recovery, and disaster‑recovery procedures
• Monitor performance, tune queries, and optimize indexing
• Collaborate with developers to integrate database changes and migrations
• Document architecture, procedures, and best practices

Must-have skills

• 3+ years managing PostgreSQL in production
• Strong SQL query optimization and troubleshooting
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments and automation tools
• Knowledge of replication, sharding, and security hardening

Nice to have

• Familiarity with MongoDB or MySQL ecosystems
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of cloud services such as AWS RDS or Azure Database for PostgreSQL
