DevOps Engineer Needed for Release Pipeline Hardening

About the role

BlueSky Ventures is building a data pipeline and analytics enablement platform for its operations teams. We need a DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and maintain the infrastructure that powers real‑time data flows and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable CI/CD pipelines for data ingestion services
• Containerize ETL jobs with Docker and orchestrate them on Kubernetes
• Manage AWS resources (EKS, S3, Lambda) to ensure high availability
• Monitor performance, set alerts, and troubleshoot pipeline bottlenecks
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to streamline deployment cycles

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with AWS cloud services
• Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes orchestration
• Hands‑on CI/CD implementation using tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins
• Solid understanding of data pipeline concepts and monitoring
• Ability to write infrastructure as code (Terraform or CloudFormation)

Nice to have

• Experience with Apache Airflow or similar workflow managers
• Knowledge of Python or Bash scripting for automation
• Familiarity with logging and observability stacks (ELK, Prometheus)
