About the role

Pinecrest Systems is launching a data pipeline and analytics enablement project for its operations teams. We need a Cybersecurity Analyst to embed security controls, monitor data flows, and ensure compliance throughout the pipeline lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement security architectures for data ingestion, transformation, and storage layers.
• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments specific to analytics workloads.
• Develop automated monitoring scripts and alerts for anomalous data access.
• Collaborate with data engineers to embed encryption and access controls.
• Perform regular audits and produce compliance reports for internal stakeholders.

Must-have skills

• Strong understanding of data pipeline security best practices.
• Hands‑on experience with Python for scripting security checks.
• Proficiency in Linux system hardening and log analysis.
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST or ISO 27001.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud‑based analytics platforms.
• Familiarity with SIEM tools and incident response.
