Senior MongoDB Specialist Needed for Automated Schema Modernization

About the role

NexGen Media is expanding a B2B SaaS product with a new multi‑tenant feature set. We need a MongoDB Specialist to design, implement, and fine‑tune the data layer that will serve dozens of isolated tenants while keeping performance predictable.

Key responsibilities

• Architect sharded collections and tenant isolation strategies
• Implement data migration scripts for existing tenant data
• Optimize queries and indexes for high‑concurrency workloads
• Set up monitoring, alerts, and backup policies specific to multi‑tenant usage
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate MongoDB drivers and ODMs

Must-have skills

• Deep experience with MongoDB schema design and sharding
• Proven track record delivering multi‑tenant database solutions
• Strong command of aggregation pipelines and performance profiling
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for database changes

Nice to have

• Experience with Atlas or other managed MongoDB services
• Knowledge of security best practices for tenant data isolation
