About the role

Orbit Labs is modernizing a legacy production platform with a zero‑downtime target. We need an AWS Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and automate the migration while ensuring continuous availability.

Key responsibilities

• Architect a scalable, fault‑tolerant AWS environment using VPC, IAM, and auto‑scaling groups.
• Containerize legacy services with Docker and orchestrate deployments via ECS/EKS.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines that support blue‑green and canary releases.
• Monitor performance and reliability with CloudWatch, X‑Ray, and custom alerts.
• Collaborate with developers to refactor code for cloud‑native patterns.

Must-have skills

• Deep experience with AWS core services and infrastructure as code.
• Proficiency in Docker containerization and orchestration.
• Strong DevOps mindset with automation of builds, tests, and deployments.
• Solid Linux administration and scripting skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway).
• Familiarity with observability tools like Prometheus or Grafana.
