About the role

Silverline Labs is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted Android applications. We need a focused Android Developer to embed robust security controls, threat modeling, and secure coding practices into the existing codebase.

Key responsibilities

• Audit current Android apps for security gaps and produce remediation plans
• Implement encryption, secure storage, and network hardening using modern Android APIs
• Integrate security testing tools into the CI pipeline and address findings
• Collaborate with backend and cloud teams to ensure end‑to‑end data protection
• Document security guidelines and provide knowledge transfer to the team

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with Kotlin and Java on Android
• Proven track record in mobile app security hardening
• Familiarity with OWASP Mobile Top 10 and secure coding standards
• Ability to work independently in a remote, part‑time setting

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, GCP) and mobile backend integration
• Knowledge of threat modeling tools and automated security testing frameworks
