About the role

Silverline Labs is modernizing a legacy production platform that must stay live 24/7. We need a Python Backend Developer to redesign core services, improve scalability, and ensure zero‑downtime migrations.

Key responsibilities

• Refactor monolithic Python code into clean, testable modules
• Design and implement high‑performance REST APIs with Django
• Migrate data stores to PostgreSQL with zero‑downtime strategies
• Set up automated CI/CD pipelines for seamless releases
• Collaborate with DevOps to monitor performance and reliability

Must-have skills

• 5+ years Python development, strong Django experience
• Deep understanding of RESTful API design and versioning
• Proficient with PostgreSQL schema design and query optimization
• Experience delivering zero‑downtime deployments in production

Nice to have

• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of async frameworks like FastAPI or Starlette
• Background in legacy system migration and refactoring
