Senior Platform Engineer for Container Platform Build

About the role

Harbor Softworks is building a next‑gen analytics backbone for its operations teams. As a Platform Engineer you will own the design and delivery of the "FluxStream" data pipeline, turning raw telemetry into actionable insights. The project focuses on rapid, reliable data ingestion, transformation, and visualization to empower real‑time decision making.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement the end‑to‑end FluxStream pipeline on AWS using Snowflake, S3, and Kinesis.
• Containerize ETL micro‑services with Docker and orchestrate them via Kubernetes (EKS) for auto‑scaling.
• Set up CI/CD workflows in GitHub Actions that automatically test, lint, and deploy pipeline components.
• Develop Terraform modules for reproducible infrastructure and enforce IaC best practices.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting with Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch to guarantee 99.9% uptime.
• Collaborate with data analysts to define schema evolution strategies and ensure data quality checkpoints.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years experience in platform engineering or DevOps.
• Deep expertise with Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), and AWS services.
• Proficient in Terraform or CloudFormation for IaC.
• Strong CI/CD pipeline design using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar.
• Solid understanding of data pipeline concepts (streaming, batch, ETL).

Nice to have

• Experience with Snowflake or Redshift data warehouses.
• Knowledge of Apache Airflow or Prefect for workflow orchestration.
