About the role

Pinecrest Systems is revamping a critical legacy production platform. We need a Node.js Developer to lead the codebase modernization while guaranteeing zero‑downtime deployments. You will work closely with DevOps and QA to refactor services and introduce modern patterns.

Key responsibilities

• Refactor monolithic Node.js services into modular, testable components
• Design and implement high‑throughput REST APIs using Express
• Set up blue‑green and canary release pipelines for zero‑downtime rollout
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests
• Collaborate with product owners to prioritize migration tasks

Must-have skills

• 5+ years Node.js development experience
• Deep knowledge of Express, JavaScript ES6+, and REST API design
• Proven track record of zero‑downtime deployments in production
• Strong debugging and performance tuning skills

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions
• Knowledge of legacy database migration strategies
