Senior Docker Kubernetes Specialist Needed for Release Pipeline Hardening

About the role

Vertex Analytics is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a Docker Kubernetes Specialist to design and enforce hardened configurations across our Kubernetes clusters and container pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing Docker images and Kubernetes manifests for security gaps
• Implement runtime security policies using tools like Falco, OPA, or Kyverno
• Automate image scanning and vulnerability remediation in CI/CD pipelines
• Guide the team on least‑privilege RBAC and network segmentation
• Document hardened standards and provide knowledge‑transfer sessions

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing Docker and Kubernetes in production
• Deep knowledge of container security best practices
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions)
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python) for automation

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) security services
• Certifications such as CKA or CKS
• Experience with service mesh security (Istio, Linkerd)
