Senior Database Administrator Needed for Schema Modernization

About the role

DataPro Services is launching a sprint to embed CI/CD and platform automation into its database delivery pipeline. We need a Database Administrator who can design, implement, and fine‑tune automated release workflows for faster, reliable deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and script automated schema migrations using tools like Flyway or Liquibase
• Integrate database change management into Git‑based CI pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Develop monitoring and rollback procedures for zero‑downtime releases
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to containerize database services where appropriate
• Document standards and train team members on automated processes

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL, MongoDB and MySQL in production
• Hands‑on experience building CI/CD pipelines for database changes
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python or PowerShell)
• Understanding of version control, branching strategies and release tagging

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes operators for databases
• Knowledge of Terraform or other IaC tools
• Familiarity with performance tuning and query optimization
