About the role

Orbit Labs is preparing a major app store launch and needs a Cybersecurity Analyst to ensure mobile and backend components are tightly aligned. You will work closely with the dev team to embed security controls early and verify that data flows remain protected across platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Perform threat modeling for mobile‑backend interaction points
• Audit API endpoints and mobile SDKs for security gaps
• Develop and enforce secure coding guidelines for cross‑platform features
• Conduct penetration tests on staging environments and report findings
• Collaborate with product owners to prioritize remediation tasks

Must-have skills

• Strong knowledge of mobile security best practices
• Experience securing backend services and APIs
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation
• Solid Linux administration and hardening experience
• Ability to produce clear, actionable security documentation

Nice to have

• Familiarity with CI/CD security integrations
• Experience with OWASP Mobile Top Ten
• Background in cloud security for app deployments
