Senior Terraform Engineer Needed for High-Volume Observability Stack Setup

About the role

Orbit Labs is undertaking a performance and reliability overhaul of its customer‑facing services. We need a Terraform Engineer to design, implement, and optimise infrastructure as code that supports high‑throughput workloads and reduces latency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain reusable Terraform modules for multi‑region AWS deployments
• Automate provisioning pipelines with CI/CD tools to ensure repeatable releases
• Collaborate with SRE and development teams to benchmark and tune resource configurations
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and cost‑optimization strategies
• Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices for infrastructure security

Must-have skills

• 5+ years of hands‑on Terraform experience in production environments
• Deep knowledge of AWS services (EC2, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM)
• Strong DevOps mindset with CI/CD pipeline design (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python) for automation tasks

Nice to have

• Experience with container orchestration (EKS, ECS)
• Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch)
• Background in performance testing and load‑balancing strategies
