About the role

BlueSky Ventures is launching a fast‑track CI/CD and platform automation sprint to accelerate release cycles. We need a MongoDB Specialist to design, implement, and fine‑tune database pipelines that integrate seamlessly with our automation tools.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and deploy MongoDB clusters optimized for CI/CD workflows.
• Build automated backup, restore, and scaling scripts using infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Integrate MongoDB change streams with deployment pipelines for real‑time validation.
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to embed database health checks into release gates.
• Document best practices and create runbooks for rapid troubleshooting.

Must-have skills

• Deep expertise with MongoDB sharding, replication, and performance tuning.
• Strong scripting abilities in JavaScript/NodeJS for automation.
• Experience linking database actions to CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Proficiency in Linux environments and containerization basics.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Terraform or Ansible for provisioning.
• Knowledge of monitoring stacks such as Prometheus/Grafana.
• Previous work on platform‑wide automation sprints.
