About the role

NexGen Media is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need an AWS Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and validate hardening controls across our AWS environment, ensuring compliance and resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Assess current AWS architecture for security gaps and prioritize remediation.
• Implement IAM least‑privilege policies, SCPs, and role‑based access controls.
• Configure and automate security services such as GuardDuty, Security Hub, and Config rules.
• Containerize critical services with Docker and enforce runtime security best practices.
• Develop Terraform or CloudFormation modules to codify hardening standards.
• Run penetration testing simulations and produce remediation reports.

Must-have skills

• Deep experience securing AWS workloads at scale.
• Proficiency with Docker and container security.
• Strong DevOps mindset and automation expertise.
• Solid Linux administration and scripting skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of CIS Benchmarks for AWS.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for security checks.
• Familiarity with cloud‑native monitoring and logging tools.
