About the role

AlphaEdge Tech is modernizing its core services platform and needs a Java Developer to build robust backend components. You will work on a high‑impact module that integrates with existing microservices and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java‑based RESTful APIs.
• Implement data access layers using MySQL and JPA/Hibernate.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers to define API contracts.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best‑practice guidelines.
• Optimize performance and troubleshoot production issues.

Must-have skills

• Strong Java programming experience (Java 8+).
• Proficiency with Spring Boot and REST API design.
• Hands‑on MySQL database development and query optimization.
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of Agile development processes.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and container orchestration.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
