Key Responsibilities
- Review and edit documents for grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors
- Format documents according to our style guide and templates
- Collaborate with editors, designers, and writers to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Develop and maintain style guides and templates for document formatting
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in document formatting
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on document formatting and publishing
- Provide training and support to junior staff members on document formatting and style guides
- Conduct quality checks on formatted documents to ensure high standards
- Develop and implement processes for efficient document formatting and workflow management
- Collaborate with designers to create visually appealing and well-formatted documents
- Stay organized and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance document formatting and publishing processes
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to document formatting and publishing
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in document formatting and preparation
- Strong knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and spelling rules
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with style guides, such as Chicago and AP
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience with document management systems and workflow management tools
- Certificate in document formatting or a related field is an asset
