Key Responsibilities

• Translate documents, including marketing materials, technical manuals, and website content, from English to other languages and vice versa.
• Review and edit translated documents to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency.
• Collaborate with translators, editors, and project managers to ensure that all projects are completed to the highest standards.
• Conduct research to stay up-to-date with industry trends, language developments, and cultural nuances.
• Develop and maintain glossaries, style guides, and other reference materials to ensure consistency in translation.
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicate effectively with clients, translators, and project managers to ensure that all projects are completed to the highest standards.
• Follow established procedures and guidelines for translation, editing, and proofreading.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Stay organized, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Provide feedback and suggestions for improving translation processes and quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in translation, editing, or a related field.
• Excellent language skills in English and at least one other language.
• Strong understanding of language, culture, and nuances.
• Proficiency in translation software and tools, such as CAT tools and translation memory.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Familiarity with industry standards, best practices, and quality control processes.
• Certification in translation, such as ATA or ITI, is an asset.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
