About the role

Orbit Labs is revamping a legacy production platform and needs a Terraform Engineer to design and implement infrastructure that supports zero‑downtime releases. You will work closely with the platform team to translate architectural goals into reusable, version‑controlled code.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and codify AWS networking, compute, and storage resources using Terraform modules.
• Implement automated pipelines for safe, rolling updates that meet zero‑downtime SLAs.
• Collaborate with developers to embed infrastructure best‑practices into CI/CD workflows.
• Audit existing resources, refactor deprecated patterns, and document migration paths.
• Monitor state drift and enforce compliance through policy-as-code.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years building production‑grade Terraform code on AWS.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Strong DevOps mindset with emphasis on reliability and automation.
• Experience delivering zero‑downtime deployments in high‑traffic environments.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Terragrunt or CDK for Terraform.
• Knowledge of container orchestration (EKS, ECS).
• Experience with monitoring stacks like Prometheus/Grafana.
