About the role

NexGen Media is expanding its content delivery platform and needs a Python Backend Developer to design and enhance core services. You will work closely with product and front‑end teams to deliver reliable, scalable APIs that power our media applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain RESTful APIs using Django
• Optimize database schemas and queries in PostgreSQL
• Write clean, testable code and contribute to code reviews
• Collaborate on architecture decisions and performance tuning
• Ensure security best practices and documentation are followed

Must-have skills

• Strong Python programming experience
• Proficiency with Django framework
• Hands‑on experience building REST APIs
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and relational data modeling

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker or containerization
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, GCP)
