About the role

Orbit Labs is preparing a major app store release that requires tight alignment between mobile front‑ends and backend services. We need a PHP Developer who can shape the API layer, ensure data integrity, and support rapid iteration for the upcoming launch.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement RESTful APIs using PHP and Laravel
• Integrate mobile app endpoints with backend logic
• Optimize MySQL queries for high‑traffic scenarios
• Write unit and integration tests to guarantee reliability
• Collaborate with mobile engineers to define contract specifications

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with PHP and Laravel framework
• Proficient in MySQL database design and performance tuning
• Understanding of API versioning and authentication methods
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker or containerized deployments
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for PHP projects
