About the role

AlphaEdge Tech is enhancing its operations data pipeline and analytics platform. We need a Database Administrator to ensure the underlying data stores are robust, performant, and ready for rapid insight delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design, tune, and maintain PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL instances supporting analytics workloads.
• Implement automated backup, recovery, and monitoring solutions.
• Collaborate with data engineers to streamline ETL pipelines and ensure data quality.
• Develop scripts for schema migrations and performance diagnostics.
• Provide guidance to operations teams on query optimization and data access patterns.

Must-have skills

• 3+ years managing PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL in production.
• Strong SQL proficiency and experience with NoSQL data models.
• Familiarity with cloud database services and automation tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot performance bottlenecks under load.

Nice to have

• Experience with data pipeline tools such as Airflow or Prefect.
• Knowledge of containerized database deployments.
• Background in analytics or BI environments.
