About the role

Vertex Analytics is accelerating its release cadence through a focused CI/CD and platform automation sprint. We need a Microservices Architect to design, implement, and refine pipelines that enable rapid, reliable deployments across our microservice landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Architect end‑to‑end CI/CD workflows for Java‑based microservices.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Integrate static code analysis, security scanning, and automated testing into pipelines.
• Collaborate with developers to refactor services for container readiness.
• Document standards, best practices, and hand‑off procedures for the automation team.

Must-have skills

• Deep experience designing CI/CD pipelines for microservice ecosystems.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and Java application packaging.
• Strong grasp of GitOps principles and pipeline tooling (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Argo CD).
• Ability to troubleshoot deployment failures and optimize build performance.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Helm charts and service mesh technologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Knowledge of observability tools for monitoring pipeline health.
