About the role

Vertex Analytics is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a Docker Kubernetes Specialist to design and implement robust hardening controls, ensuring compliance and resilience across our container environments.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing Docker and Kubernetes configurations for security gaps.
• Implement image scanning, vulnerability remediation, and runtime protection.
• Configure network policies, RBAC, and secret management best practices.
• Automate compliance checks within CI/CD pipelines.
• Document hardening guidelines and provide knowledge transfer.

Must-have skills

• Deep experience securing Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters.
• Proficiency with tools like Trivy, Falco, or Aqua Security.
• Strong understanding of cloud IAM, network policies, and secret stores.
• Ability to script automation in Bash or Python.

Nice to have

• Experience with service mesh security (e.g., Istio).
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as CIS or NIST.
• Previous work on multi‑cloud environments.
