About the role

BrightMart Solutions is modernizing its flagship e‑commerce platform, codenamed "Phoenix Core", to achieve zero‑downtime releases. As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will design and execute the migration of legacy services to a cloud‑native architecture while preserving uninterrupted customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing CI/CD pipelines on Jenkins and redesign them using GitHub Actions with automated rollback.
• Containerize monolithic Java services with Docker and orchestrate them on Amazon EKS, ensuring blue‑green deployments.
• Implement infrastructure as code with Terraform to provision VPC, RDS, and ALB resources across multiple AZs.
• Set up real‑time monitoring and alerting via Prometheus, Grafana, and AWS CloudWatch for latency and error rates.
• Collaborate with the SRE team to define Service Level Objectives and conduct chaos testing for resilience.

Must-have skills

• Expertise in AWS services (ECS, EKS, IAM, CloudFormation/Terraform).
• Strong background in Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm chart management.
• Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar.
• Solid scripting skills in Bash/Python for automation.
• Understanding of zero‑downtime deployment patterns and canary releases.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with chaos engineering tools like Gremlin.
• Experience with observability stacks such as OpenTelemetry.
