Key Responsibilities

• Translate technical documents, including user manuals, instructional guides, and product descriptions, from English into multiple languages with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Research and stay up-to-date with industry-specific terminology to ensure that all translations are accurate, relevant, and consistent with industry standards.
• Collaborate with our in-house team of editors and proofreaders to review and revise translations, as well as provide feedback and suggestions for improvement.
• Utilize computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools and other software applications to facilitate the translation process and ensure consistency and efficiency.
• Meet deadlines and deliver high-quality translations within the specified timeframe, while also being flexible and adaptable to changing project requirements and priorities.
• Participate in quality control processes, including reviewing and editing translations, to ensure that all translations meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, editors, and other team members to discuss project details, resolve issues, and provide feedback and suggestions.
• Stay up-to-date with new technologies, tools, and software applications related to translation, as well as industry trends and developments.
• Work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals and objectives, while also being proactive and self-motivated to resolve issues and overcome challenges.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to improve skills and knowledge in technical translation, as well as stay current with industry developments and best practices.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection policies and procedures, as well as comply with all relevant laws and regulations related to translation and intellectual property.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of translation-related projects and initiatives, including process improvements and quality control measures.
• Collaborate with other departments, including sales and marketing, to provide translation support and expertise, as well as contribute to the growth and development of our translation services.
• Participate in performance reviews and evaluations to assess progress, set goals, and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in translation, languages, or a related field, with a strong focus on technical translation and industry-specific terminology.
• At least 2 years of experience in technical translation, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality translations and meeting deadlines.
• Proficiency in multiple languages, including English, as well as expertise in industry-specific terminology and concepts.
• Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with project managers, editors, and other team members.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of initiative and self-motivation.
• Familiarity with CAT tools and other software applications related to translation, including memoQ, Trados, and SDL Studio.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control skills, with the ability to review and revise translations to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities, with a flexible and proactive approach to resolving issues and overcoming challenges.
• Commitment to ongoing training and professional development, with a strong desire to improve skills and knowledge in technical translation.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex information and develop effective solutions.
