In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of languages, including Spanish, French, German, Chinese, and many others. You will be responsible for translating documents, editing and proofreading translations, and ensuring that all translations meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy. You will also have the opportunity to work with our team of editors and project managers to ensure that all translations are delivered on time and to the satisfaction of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate documents from one language to another, ensuring that all translations are accurate, fluent, and culturally relevant
• Edit and proofread translations to ensure that they meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy
• Conduct research to ensure that all translations are up-to-date and consistent with current terminology and industry standards
• Collaborate with editors and project managers to ensure that all translations are delivered on time and to the satisfaction of our clients
• Use computer-assisted translation tools and software to facilitate the translation process and to ensure consistency and accuracy
• Develop and maintain glossaries and terminology databases to ensure that all translations are consistent and accurate
• Translate audio and video files, including transcripts and subtitles
• Provide cultural and linguistic advice to clients and colleagues to ensure that all translations are culturally relevant and effective
• Participate in quality control processes to ensure that all translations meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and trends, including new technologies and methodologies
• Collaborate with other translators and linguists to share knowledge, best practices, and expertise
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities to improve skills and expertise
• Perform other duties as required, including administrative tasks and project management

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in translation, linguistics, or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience in translation, including experience with computer-assisted translation tools and software
• Fluency in at least two languages, including English
• Excellent writing and editing skills, including attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong research and analytical skills, including the ability to conduct research and analyze data
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients
• Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills, including the ability to adapt to new technologies and methodologies
• Familiarity with industry-standard translation software and tools
