Key Responsibilities

• Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch, ensuring they are highly customizable, secure, and performant.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, following best practices and coding standards.
• Implement responsive design principles to ensure websites are accessible across various devices and browsers.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues with themes and plugins, optimizing for better performance and resolving conflicts.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress updates, security patches, and trends in web development to continuously improve our projects and services.
• Contribute to the development of our internal WordPress framework, enhancing its capabilities and efficiency.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to colleagues and learning from their experiences.
• Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements, estimate task durations, and meet deadlines.
• Maintain high-quality documentation of code, projects, and development processes.
• Provide support for existing projects, addressing client requests and resolving issues promptly.
• Engage in continuous learning, exploring new technologies and techniques to enhance skill sets and stay ahead in the field.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in WordPress development, including custom theme and plugin development.
• Excellent understanding of PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with the ability to write clean, efficient code.
• Experience with WordPress APIs, hooks, and actions, as well as theme and plugin development best practices.
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex issues and optimize performance.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers.
• Strong understanding of web security principles and practices, with the ability to develop secure WordPress solutions.
• Experience with WordPress page builders and other third-party plugins is a plus.
• Certification in WordPress development or related fields is advantageous.
