Senior Terraform Engineer – Release Engineering

About the role

CoreData Systems is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a Terraform Engineer to design, implement, and audit infrastructure as code that meets strict security baselines across multiple AWS accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop reusable Terraform modules that enforce encryption, least‑privilege IAM, and network segmentation.
• Integrate Terraform workflows into CI/CD pipelines for automated compliance checks.
• Collaborate with security and cloud teams to translate hardening guidelines into code.
• Perform code reviews, static analysis, and remediation of drift.
• Document architecture decisions and provide knowledge transfer.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years of Terraform experience in AWS environments.
• Deep understanding of security best practices (IAM, KMS, VPC, WAF).
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar).
• Strong scripting skills for automation and testing.

Nice to have

• Experience with Sentinel or Open Policy Agent for policy as code.
• Familiarity with container orchestration security (EKS, ECS).
• Certifications such as AWS Security Specialty or Terraform Associate.
