Summit Digital is revamping its customer‑facing services to boost speed and reliability. We need a seasoned PHP Developer – Performance Overhaul to redesign critical back‑end components, enforce best practices, and ensure scalable architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing PHP codebase and identify bottlenecks
• Refactor services for optimal response times and low latency
• Implement robust error handling and logging mechanisms
• Optimize database queries and schema for high‑throughput workloads
• Collaborate with QA to embed automated performance tests

Must-have skills

• 5+ years of professional PHP development
• Deep experience with Laravel framework
• Strong MySQL performance tuning expertise
• Proven track record of delivering high‑availability services

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Redis or Memcached caching layers
• Experience with Docker containerization
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for rapid deployments
