About the role

We are modernizing a legacy e‑commerce platform that serves thousands of daily users. The project demands zero‑downtime migrations and a clean, maintainable codebase. You will lead the backend refactor, ensuring seamless feature rollout while preserving live traffic.

Key responsibilities

• Rewrite critical services in PHP 8 using Laravel, adhering to DDD principles
• Design and implement schema migrations for MySQL with zero‑downtime strategies
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment
• Collaborate with front‑end and QA teams to validate end‑to‑end flows
• Monitor performance and optimize queries in production

Must-have skills

• 5+ years of PHP development, deep Laravel expertise
• Advanced MySQL design, indexing, and query tuning
• Experience delivering zero‑downtime releases on high‑traffic systems
• Proficient with Git, Docker, and automated testing frameworks

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AWS services (RDS, ECS)
• Knowledge of event‑driven architecture or message queues
