About the role

NovaForge Tech is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a MongoDB Specialist to reinforce data protection, audit configurations, and implement encryption best practices. The role focuses on securing MongoDB clusters across multi‑region deployments while supporting ongoing development cycles.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze current MongoDB setups and identify security gaps
• Implement role‑based access control, field‑level encryption, and TLS across clusters
• Develop automated scripts for compliance checks and audit logging
• Collaborate with DevOps to integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines
• Provide guidance and documentation for secure schema design

Must-have skills

• Deep experience securing MongoDB in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Strong knowledge of authentication, authorization, and encryption mechanisms
• Proficiency with scripting languages (Bash, Python) for automation
• Understanding of networking, firewalls, and VPC security groups

Nice to have

• Certifications such as MongoDB DBA or Cloud Security
• Experience with Terraform or Ansible for infrastructure as code
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus or Datadog
