About the role

DataPro Services is scaling its data platform for high‑volume analytics. We need a PostgreSQL Administrator to ensure database reliability, performance, and security across cloud and on‑prem environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain PostgreSQL clusters
• Monitor performance, tune queries, and optimize indexes
• Automate backups, restores, and disaster‑recovery procedures
• Collaborate with developers to support schema changes and migrations
• Enforce security policies, roles, and access controls

Must-have skills

• 3+ years managing PostgreSQL in production
• Strong SQL proficiency and query optimization
• Experience with backup/restore, replication, and high‑availability setups
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix administration

Nice to have

• Knowledge of MongoDB or MySQL ecosystems
• Experience with containerization (Docker) or orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Automation scripting using Bash or Python
