Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage databases to meet the needs of our applications
• Develop and maintain database schemas, including data models, entity-relationship diagrams, and data flow diagrams
• Optimize database performance, including indexing, caching, and query optimization
• Ensure database security, including access control, authentication, and encryption
• Develop and implement data backup and recovery procedures
• Collaborate with the development team to design and implement new features and applications
• Provide technical guidance and expertise to the development team on database-related issues
• Develop and maintain database documentation, including data dictionaries, entity-relationship diagrams, and database design documents
• Participate in code reviews and ensure that database-related code is of high quality and follows best practices
• Stay up-to-date with new technologies and trends in database management, and apply this knowledge to improve our database systems
• Develop and implement data migration and integration strategies
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in database administration, with a focus on PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL
• Strong knowledge of database design, implementation, and management principles
• Experience with database performance optimization, security, and backup and recovery procedures
• Strong understanding of data modeling, entity-relationship diagrams, and data flow diagrams
• Experience with SQL and database programming languages, such as PL/SQL and T-SQL
• Familiarity with data migration and integration strategies
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
