We are seeking a highly experienced Senior WordPress Developer who specializes in custom theme development, advanced plugin engineering, WooCommerce optimization, website performance improvements, and secure backend architecture. The ideal candidate must be capable of building complex, enterprise-level WordPress systems—not just basic templates or page builder sites.

You will be responsible for building fully custom WordPress themes using PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern development workflows. You must follow WordPress coding standards, implement modular template structures, leverage hooks/actions/filters efficiently, and create reusable components built for long-term scalability.

Your core responsibilities include developing custom plugins, integrating third-party APIs, building dynamic custom post types (CPT), Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) structures, taxonomies, shortcodes, Gutenberg blocks, and admin UI enhancements. You must know how to extend WordPress beyond typical functionalities to support enterprise-level requirements.

You will optimize website performance by improving Core Web Vitals, reducing load time, optimizing database queries, using caching layers, minimizing render-blocking resources, compressing assets, optimizing images, improving TTFB, and configuring CDNs. Experience with LiteSpeed Cache, WP Rocket, Cloudflare, and advanced caching strategies is highly preferred.

Security is a critical part of this role—applicants must know how to protect WordPress from SQL injection, XSS, CSRF, brute-force attacks, insecure user roles, file upload vulnerabilities, and plugin exploits. You must also implement security best practices such as nonces, sanitization, escaping, secure authentication, and firewall rules.

You will configure and manage WooCommerce stores including product setups, variable products, shipping rules, payment gateways, webhooks, email templates, checkout customizations, and performance optimization for high-traffic storefronts. Experience with scaling WooCommerce using Redis/ElasticSearch is a bonus.

DevOps experience is required, including staging environments, automated backups, version control via Git, database migrations, cron job management, and deployment on cPanel, VPS, or cloud servers. Knowledge of Docker-based workflows is beneficial.

You must collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, marketing teams, and backend engineers to ensure seamless data flow, complete integrations, and fully documented features. Strong debugging skills are required to resolve plugin conflicts, theme errors, PHP warnings, fatal errors, API failures, and database inconsistencies.

Candidates must provide previous custom themes, plugins, or enterprise WordPress projects to demonstrate real-world expertise with WordPress as an advanced application platform—not just a basic site builder.
