Senior Site Reliability Engineer Needed for Release Pipeline Hardening Overhaul

About the role

AlphaEdge Tech is revamping its flagship legacy platform, aiming for zero‑downtime releases. As a Site Reliability Engineer you will lead the modernization of the "PulseSync Engine" module, ensuring seamless traffic migration and high availability throughout the transition.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement blue‑green deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions and Argo CD for the PulseSync Engine.
• Migrate legacy services to Kubernetes (EKS) with Helm charts, guaranteeing zero‑downtime cutovers.
• Instrument services with Prometheus and Grafana dashboards to monitor latency and error budgets in real time.
• Automate failover and disaster‑recovery drills using Terraform and AWS Route 53 health checks.
• Collaborate with developers to refactor stateful components into container‑native microservices.
• Document runbooks and SLOs for post‑migration support and handover.

Must-have skills

• Extensive experience with Kubernetes orchestration and Helm.
• Proficiency in Terraform or CloudFormation for IaC on AWS.
• Strong Linux systems administration and networking knowledge.
• Hands‑on with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Track record of achieving zero‑downtime deployments in production.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with service mesh technologies such as Istio.
• Experience with chaos engineering frameworks.
