About the role

Cascade Apps is revamping a legacy production platform to achieve zero‑downtime releases. We need an Android Developer who can bridge old code with modern architecture while keeping users uninterrupted.

Key responsibilities

• Refactor legacy modules into clean Kotlin codebases
• Implement Jetpack Compose UI components for new features
• Design and integrate a seamless migration path using feature flags
• Set up automated CI pipelines for instant roll‑outs
• Collaborate with backend engineers to align API contracts

Must-have skills

• 5+ years Android development experience
• Strong Kotlin and Java proficiency
• Deep understanding of Android architecture components
• Experience with zero‑downtime deployment strategies

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Gradle Kotlin DSL
• Knowledge of modern testing frameworks (Espresso, Robolectric)
• Exposure to cloud‑based backend services
